"Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet." -Aristotle
It's been a while since I posted new content on Sonder Space, and I apologize for that. I've been quite busy getting my life in order right now. In due time, everything will fall into place. I wanted to catch you guys up on what I've been up to.
- I went back to school! I moved back onto campus towards the end of August at SUNY Oneonta. I'm so happy to be back at my second home with good friends and fun times. However, It's my senior year, and I have a lot of responsibilities on my plate. From my workload to being vice president of Student Fashion Society, my school's fashion organization on campus, it's been hard getting everything in order.
- I have TWO internships this semester! As usual, I am back on the CollegeFashionista team as a Style Guru. It's my one-year anniversary with them, and it's sad to think about my last few semesters with them as my college career draws to an end. Follow my page here to know when I upload new articles. Also, I scored an awesome opportunity with my campus. I'm the new social media intern for SUNY Oneonta! I'm going to help contribute content to their social media accounts and website, such as photography for their Instagram, interviews with current students and faculty to write about on their blog, and takeovers on their Snapchat. It's great experience for someone like me that wants to be a social media manager for a company.
- I got a new camera! After receiving scholarship funds, I was able to purchase a new camera for my blog and internships before returning for school. I chose a Canon Rebel T6, and I'm in love with it. This is my first DSLR camera of my own; I've borrowed cameras from my brother and friends in the past. I have time now to check out all the functions and be able to capture the best pictures. I've been experimenting in all different settings.
- I have been doing a lot of self-reflection. I went through a couple of bumps in the road the past few weeks. I lost touch with myself, and I've been working on figuring out crucial parts of my life. I needed to take a step back and look at the big picture. Accepting some aspects have been a weight off my shoulders, but others have been a hard pill to swallow. Either way, I'm glad that I was able to see this and take the measures that I needed to keep myself on track.
All of these items have taken up my life at the moment. It made me upset to see that I had to take a step back from blogging just when it seemed like I had the perfect moment to start up. Not everything goes as planned, and I'm okay with it. It's the building blocks to what I want this blog to become.
The good news is that most of the items on this list are settled into my schedule. This means that I can start up my blog officially! I have a slew of posts that I'm excited to write about. I don't have a set time/day that I'll be uploading content. This will help myself not stress out about constantly creating content by a certain time. I can upload three new posts over the course of a few days, or I can take a break during heavy work times to upload one. It's all dependent on my free time. If you want to be notified when I post something new, be sure to subscribe through the newsletter.
Be on the lookout for more consistent content in the near future!
